Aluminium internal

Fixed screens.

Manufactured using the Alu Space internal glazing system, all fixed screens are made to measure and suitable for residential and commercial interiors across the UK.

Designed to connect spaces, not divide them.

Aluminium internal fixed screens provide a clean, architectural way to divide spaces while maintaining light, openness and visual connection. Using slim aluminium frames and glazed panels, fixed screens create structure without the need for solid walls or moving door leaves.

Recent Projects.

The Reed Project, Gateshead

The Reed Project in Gateshead centred around transforming a traditional living space into a more flexible, light-filled interior without compromising warmth or character. The brief was clear: create distinct zones within the home while maintaining openness, visual flow, and a strong architectural presence.

The Paul Project, North Shields

The Paul Project in North Shields was a carefully considered renovation that combined refined internal detailing with high-performance external glazing. The aim was to improve natural light throughout the property while introducing architectural features that felt cohesive across both internal and external spaces.

The Raferty Project, York

The Raferty Project in York focused on opening up a key living space while maintaining strong architectural definition. The brief was to introduce larger glazed openings to maximise natural light and improve flow, without losing the clean lines and structured feel of the interior. To achieve this, we installed a set of sliding French doors with fixed side screens, creating a wide, balanced glazing arrangement that feels both refined and practical.

Fixed, non-opening screens • Made to measure • Maximum light transfer

A simple way to divide space and retain light

Fixed screens are ideal where separation is needed but access is provided elsewhere. They are commonly used to define zones within open-plan layouts
while keeping spaces visually connected.

Typical applications include:

  • Kitchen and living area separation
  • Home office partitions
  • Stair and hallway screening
  • Commercial office zoning
  • Retail and hospitality interiors

Because they do not open, fixed screens offer a minimalist, low-maintenance solution.

What is an aluminium fixed screen?

A fixed screen is a non-opening glazed aluminium partition installed within a fixed frame. It can be used:

  • As a standalone glazed panel
  • Alongside hinged doors
  • Alongside sliding doors
  • As part of a wider partition system

All fixed screens are designed as part of a coordinated aluminium internal system, ensuring consistent proportions, midrail alignment and finish across your interior.

Sizes and make sizes

All fixed screens are manufactured to approved make sizes based on your supplied measurements in millimetres.

Typical make size guidance

  • Panel width – determined by layout, glazing choice and midrail configuration
  • Overall height – 1800mm up to 3000mm

For taller openings, fan lights can be incorporated to extend height while maintaining proportions. If your opening exceeds standard guidance, bespoke partition layouts are available.

Glazing options

Unglazed
Clear 8mm
Clear 18mm
Satin 6mm
Reeded 4mm
Reeded 18mm
Panelling 8mm
Panelling 18mm

Glazing selection allows you to control privacy, light diffusion and visual impact.

Midrails and design options

Fixed screens can be specified with:

  • 2-midrail design
  • 3-midrail design

A 3-midrail design introduces an additional horizontal bar, offering a more traditional steel-look appearance.
Additional midrails increase cost based on the number of panels used.

Colours and finishes

Black RAL 9005 Matt is the standard finish.

Special RAL colours are available on request and priced as a percentage of the base system cost, subject to a minimum charge.
Special finishes must be the same on both sides of the frame.
